ST MAURICE MINORS
I am looking for volunteers to help at the weekly toddler group which will start in October (Friday Mornings 9.30-11.30).  Each week it would be helpful to have one or two people on hand to set up and pack down and one or two people to serve tea and coffee and wash up afterwards.
With enough volunteers the commitment need only be one or two sessions a month.  Please sign up at the back of Church or speak to me. Thank you.  Fr Will.

YEARS MIND
In preparation for our memorial service (Sunday 25th November at 3pm), where we will remember by name all those who have died over the past year, there is a list at the back of Church. Please write down the name and date of death of anyone you knew who has died since November last year. It is my intention to use this opportunity to update our years mind book as well. The list for names will be available until the first Sunday of November.

FR PAUL ‘RETIREMENT’
After several years ministering to Plympton St Maurice Church Fr Paul has decided to take a step back. His final service will be next week (30th September). I am organising a collection as a thank you for Fr Paul and would be grateful if all contributions could be placed into a sealed envelope and handed to me in Church or into the Church office by Friday 28th September. Thank you.

THE ANGELUS
Since I arrived I have been met with a huge variety of opinion on if there should be a place for The Angelus or not within our Sunday service. After some time, it was my impression that a large number of people do not have a devotion to Mary, a devotion which I do personally have. Having preached on Mary a few times and conducting a very informal ‘poll’ I have decided to remove the Angelus from Sunday worship. For those who have a devotion to Mary The Angelus will be said during morning prayer and further devotion to Mary can be expressed through our rosary groups and the Team Walsingham Cell. A Hail Mary will be said at the end of the intercessions on a Sunday and Wednesday. Fr Will

WALSINGHAM CELL
If you would like to join the Plympton Team Ministry Walsingham Cell please speak with Fr Will for more details about how to sign up.

Do you know someone who is unwell or would like a visit?
If so please speak with me so that I can arrange a visit and Holy Communion if desired. I am heavily relian on members of the congregation telling me if someone has fallen ill or would like a visit so please keep me informed.
Thank you! Fr. W
